My Handlebars Look Like a PC World Showroom
7 December 2011
Gadgets, gadgets, gadgets. Seriously, my handlebars are going to look like a PC World showroom.
...I thought I was meant to be saving weight. Honestly, cutting
my toothbrush in half seems a waste of time now (I'm still going to
do it though so that I feel like a real adventurer)
This is the list!
1 - A good old fashioned cycle computer to verify the distance I have covered.
2 - A good old fashioned cycle computer . . . in case the first ones fails.
3 - My iPhone for blogging, calling my Mum on my 31st birthday, and listening to hours of random podcasts to keep 'the madness' away.
4 - My GPS map navigator so that I don't have to carry 53kg's of maps.
5 - A GPS transmitter so that you all can see where I am on the interweb.
6 - A bright headlight for night riding.
7 - A power converter so that I can power the above from my Dynamo Hub.
When I have finally found room to fit all these gadgets on Maid Marian I will take a photo and show you. I miss the days where all you had was a book of emergency numbers and a pile of maps which got all weathered and tattered but told a story. I will probably have to sell all these gadgets afterwards so that I can afford rent. Oh Well. #SmallSacrifices (Yes, I realise I have hashtagged a blog. It's all about hashtag punchlines. haha
