3 months sitting in a piece of leather about the size of my hand. Can't wait!
Well its now about ten days to go and I am ready as I will ever
be. Will I ever be 100% ready? Probably not! They say the hardest
part is getting to the start line and this is most certainly true
in my case. Most of the logistics are done. I know my route. I have
a bike, and have booked all my flights. I am as fit as I have ever
been and have pretty much cycled half way around the world already
in my training!
I don't think its quite set in that I am going to be cycling around
the entire planet. People keep asking me if I comprehend the
awesomeness of the task but I still don't see it. I see rather a
series of small sections that are about 3000 miles long. I guess
it's probably a good thing I haven't thought about it too hard as I
might have thrown in the towel.
So here I am, packing up my entire flat into a 40sq ft storage
unit, ready to spend the next 3 months of my life sitting on a
piece of leather about the size of my hand.
I cannot wait!
