Eastern Europe. Why haven't I been here before.

Well its great to be on the final stretch home. No more flights. They stress me out. Although I am a machine at building my bike now.
So. First stop Turkey. I managed to get from Istanbul to Greece in one day. Quite hilly but good food and tail wind.
I then spent 2 days in Greece. Great to be on the Med even if my route turned to dirt a few times. Weather was mild at 32 degrees. Nice change after 45 in India.
The plan was to head al the way across Greece and then up the coast. This changed when I saw how close Kosovo was. It had to be done. I went north into Macedonia. Beautiful country. I bit hilly but I like hills. The only this was the epic head wind. Nearly killed me. Only managed 110 miles all day. Stayed near the border ready for Kosovo in the morning.
I really didn't know what to expect. You only see the bad stuff on the telly box. I was so put at ease. Great scenery. Great people and pizza everywhere randomly. In fact besides road signs for tanks I haven't seen anything from war time. I wish I had more time in these countries but they are all so small you are in and out before you know how to even say hello.
So now its Albania to Croatia up the coast. With a detour into Bosnia. Has to be done.
